PATH: 31 days of 5-minute free writes
Okay, now I have a bee in my bonnet. I wonder if all nine of the rest of these posts are going to be about Valencia, Spain (frankly, there could be worse things, right?).
If you saw yesterday’s post, you know that my response to the prompt “still” was about how, despite financial mistakes I’ve made in the past that have led to me not having a ton of disposable cash, I still want to go to Valencia, Spain and I hope that I can disentangle my mental sense that I don’t deserve this since I haven’t saved up the money.
This still ties in to reading “Maid” by Stephanie Land. I’m a little farther into the audiobook now than I was yesterday, and I know she is getting closer to fulfilling her dream of visiting Missoula, Montana. (She had been slated to go there before an unexpected pregnancy derailed her dreams.)
Looking for some kind of “hook” for today, I found the graphic below that says, “If the path leads to the goal, its length does not matter.”
I have a message for life/fate/karma. Although it’s sort of true that paths are worthwhile in their own right, it’s also true that there’s less time to achieve your goals when you are 56 than when you are 26.
Small steps:
